Thomas MacGreevy: Composing a Poem contains a sampling of MacGreevy's poems which allows readers to trace composition history. Each witness is presented through a diplomatic version which is linked to an image of the manuscript. Notes to the text, by and large, are taken from Collected Poems of Thomas MacGreevy: An Annotated Edition. The ordering of the witnesses is the ordering that Susan Schreibman, editor of Collected Poems, believes is the ordering in which MacGreevy wrote. Thomas MacGreevy: Composing a Poem is delivered through the Versioning Machine, an XML-based product developed by University of Maryland Libraries designed to display multiple versions of text.
