My Dear Tom

A mysterious communication came two days ago from the post-office. I went there & found the enclosed — but why 135 fcs??? Surely the English pound isnt as much as that??? And really when we met would have been time enough. Its preposterous, & I am sure too much.

I'm fearfully busy — not so much at the flat for the furniture has not yet arrived — but W. has been so well — really better than for the past 3 years — & has been writing a lot & so there has been a lot to type & correct & his writing is worse than I have ever known it.

Do write — instead of sending mysterious cash from Paris to Rapallo with no communication attached!!

George.
