My dear Tom
Geoffrey told L. last night that you stayed at 42. I told L. I was entirely to blame for your excursion into fibs but I am afraid he has not taken it that way " may write. I am sorry; the moment you said that you had told him "Grosvenor" I felt it would all come out.
You left Ludwig here. I post it to Paris as you wouldnt get it in time in London.
