Dear Tomás,

I hope you are bearing up this weather in LondonIn 1933 MacGreevy moved from Paris to London, where he stayed until 1941, when he returned to Dublin.note but I hope you have less of rain than we have: a steady three weeks of it. I am not sure of your address now.For many years MacGreevy lived at 17 Cheyne Gardens. Between the time he left that address, and moved to 49 Harrington Road, he received his post c/o Stanley Mann, Esq, 8 Holland Villas Rd, W.14note I can't find my pocket book so I'm am sending this on to Eileen to address it for me. I wrote to you in the Summer but did not hear from you. I have another letter written but I want to be sure first that you are alive as I want you over for Easter. You were to have been invited for Christmas At the time of the MacGreevy/ O'Malley correspondence, O'Malley was living in Burrishoole Lodge, the O'Malley family country home. At first rented by Helen Hooker O'Malley, it was purchased in 1939. During the war years adjoining land was rented so that the farm could become "self-sufficient". Upon Helen Hooker O'Malley's departure from Ireland in 1950, Ernie O'Malley lived there until 1954, when he moved to Dublin. Mrs O'Malley renovated the house in the 1960s and retained it until 1981. note but that is another story, hence the second letter.

I read that there was a good Pissaro show recently. I dream of pictures down here and read of them: seeing them is another matter.

Ever yours
Ernie O'Malley
